Tesla Robotaxi: Availability, Booking & Fares

These are limited service areas, not whole-city guarantees. Operating hours and vehicle supply vary. Tesla’s main Robotaxi support page provides the broader city list; its separate Cybercab FAQ describes Cybercab access specifically in limited areas of Austin. Do not infer Cybercab availability in every Robotaxi city.

A request is for a ride, not a guaranteed particular vehicle. Allow time to reach the assigned pickup. For luggage, children or mobility equipment, check the rules for the vehicle you are assigned.

• Download the official Robotaxi app for iOS or Android and sign in with a Tesla Account.
• Enter your destination and inspect the service map, estimated fare and wait.
• Confirm only after checking that the trip and assigned vehicle fit your group.
• At pickup, match the license plate to the app, board and fasten your seat belt.
• Use the app or vehicle screen to start the ride and locate the support controls.

Tesla’s rider guidance gives different minimum passenger ages for the two vehicles. Check those rules before traveling with a child; do not assume a car seat or an empty seat establishes eligibility. The app assigns vehicles based on availability and the group.

Use the price estimate in the Robotaxi app. Tesla says the quote is shown before confirmation and pricing can change. A launch promotion, reported sample fare or Cybercab purchase-price claim does not establish what your trip will cost.

Compare the same route at the same time with another service. Include taxes and fees, wait time, the pickup walk and the possibility of needing a different vehicle. Keep a backup option for a flight, appointment or other time-sensitive journey.

FSD (Supervised) in a personally owned Tesla requires an attentive driver. It is assistance, even when it follows a navigation route. A driverless Robotaxi ride is a service operating under its own conditions. Neither the Tesla name nor a shared vehicle shape makes the two interchangeable.
