Who should put it on their shortlist?
Consider FSD if you want to evaluate route-following assistance in a Tesla and are comfortable supervising it continuously. A demonstration on roads resembling your own commute is more useful than relying on the product name.
Capabilities and limits
Tesla describes assistance with route-following, turns and lane changes. Hardware and software determine availability. The driver remains responsible; this is different from booking a driverless ride.
Keep the operating area, driver monitoring and takeover requirements in view when comparing systems. A feature unavailable on your commute has little practical value to you.
