How to Ride Waymo: Availability, Booking & Fares

Plan a Waymo ride, check service boundaries and compare an actual fare quote before booking.

Waymo is a ride service. Check the pickup and destination in the booking app; a city listing does not mean every address is served.

Plan a ride

  1. Find the current service area and booking method for your city.
  2. Enter both addresses and check the pickup point, arrival estimate and fare.
  3. Review passenger and luggage requirements before confirming.
  4. Follow the app’s vehicle identification, boarding and ride-start instructions.

Use the Waymo app; Austin and Atlanta rides are matched through Uber. Service covers designated areas, not entire cities.

What will the ride cost?

Use the app’s quote for your trip. Waymo’s pricing help describes trip-dependent pricing; do not apply a single city’s rate to every service area.

To compare with another service, use the same pickup, destination and time. Include the pickup walk and estimated wait as well as the fare. A vehicle’s purchase price is unrelated to what you pay for a ride.

Before booking

Check service boundaries, airport access, available pickup points and any accessibility or child-seat needs with the operator. Keep a backup plan when a trip is time-sensitive; this guide is not a live dispatch service.
